SONOGAMES TÜRKİYE 2026

General Rules

• The competition will be held on Friday, 20 November, between 18:00 and 19:00 in Hall C.
• Applications will be accepted between 5 and 19 November 2026.
• SONOGAMES Türkiye participants will be contacted via the e-mail addresses and registered phone numbers provided in their applications.
• Applications submitted via social media will not be accepted.
• The full list of competitors will be announced on 19 November 2026 at 14:00 at the TATD booth in the congress foyer area and on the TATDUS and TATD congress social media accounts.
• Competitors must complete their participant registration for the 12th Eurasian Congress of Emergency Medicine and the 22nd Turkish Emergency Medicine Congress before 19 November 2026.

Prizes

• Each team will receive an “Emergency Ultrasonography” book and a “Sonogames Türkiye 2026” medal.
• First prize: Handheld ultrasound device
• Second prize: 2027 ATAS registration and free registration for one 2027 TATD course of the winner’s choice
• Third prize: 2027 ATAS registration
• Prizes are non-transferable and must be used within the year for which they are valid.

Who Can Compete

• Competitors must be emergency medicine residents.
• Each competitor may compete on only one team.
• TATDUS members and instructors are not eligible to compete.
• Each team consists of 2 competitors.
• Each clinic may enter the competition with a maximum of one team.
• If a clinic is unable to form a team, two residents from different clinics may team up.
• Each team chooses a nickname/team name. Teams that do not choose a nickname will be referred to by the name of the clinic they applied from.
• Teams may wear themed costumes, accessories or make-up if they wish. As the competition will involve a lot of movement, we recommend wearing clothes that allow you to run and walk quickly.

Jury Evaluation

• All teams that wish to participate and meet the eligibility requirements will be accepted into the competition.
• 20 November 2026 (Friday), 17:30 – 18:00: All participating teams will be invited to the Meeting Room, where the details of the competition will be explained. Teams that do not attend this meeting will be disqualified.
• The first stage of the competition is designed as an elimination round. Once all applications have been completed, the number of stages and the elimination procedures will be explained to the competitors at the pre-competition meeting.
• In this competition, where competitors and spectators alike will learn while having fun, competitors will perform ultrasound-guided procedures, make diagnoses and take clinical decisions at each stage.
• At every stage, TATDUS staff will welcome the competitors and give a brief explanation of the task to be performed.
• Throughout the competition, each team will move from stage to stage accompanied by a TATDUS member.
• The jury will evaluate each team’s performance at every stage based on the set time limit and correct answers; scores will be calculated for each stage and totalled at the end of the competition.
• In the event of a tie, stage completion times will be decisive.

2. How will I know whether I have been accepted to the competition?
The full list of competitors will be announced on 19 November 2026 at 14:00 at the TATD booth in the congress foyer area and on the TATDUS and TATD congress social media accounts. You will also be informed of your acceptance status via the e-mail address and phone number you provided in the registration form.

3. I would like to take part, but I don’t have a partner. Can I still participate?
The concept of the competition requires teams of two. If you cannot find a teammate from your own clinic, you may team up with residents from other clinics.

4. Will the TATDUS companions help us with the questions?
No. They will only accompany you to make sure you are in the right place at the right time, and they will record your stage times.
