Süleyman Türedi

Prof. Dr. Süleyman Türedi completed his medical education at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine between 1995-2001 and graduated in 2001. He worked as an assistant at the same faculty between 2001-2005 and graduated in 2005 as one of the first Emergency Medicine Specialists in the country. He worked as an assistant professor at the Emergency Medicine Department of KTÜ Faculty of Medicine between 2005-2011, as an associate professor between 2011-2017, and as a professor between 2017-2021. He changed institutions in 2021 and transferred to the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Health Sciences University Trabzon Faculty of Medicine, where he currently serves as the Head of the Department.
He worked as a researcher at the University of Utah in the United States between 2012-2013 for one year and completed the Research Fellowship program. He speaks English at an intermediate-upper level.
Prof. Dr. Süleyman Türedi, who has served as a manager in dozens of theses and projects, contributed to the training of hundreds of students, including medical school students and assistant physicians, has over 120 international publications, over 3000 citations, and has been an editor and author in various books, is one of the few scientists in his field in our country. Mr. Türedi, who has been the editor of the Turkish Journal of Emergency Medicine, one of the most respected scientific journals in our country, for a long time and is still a member of the editorial board of this journal, serves as an editorial board member and referee in various scientific journals.
He is one of the few scientists in his field who is a member of TUKMOS (Medical Specialization and Curriculum Development and Standards Determination System) affiliated with the Ministry of Health's TUK (Medical Specialization Board).
He has served as an executive in many non-governmental organizations and served as the president of the Turkish Emergency Medicine Association between 2019-2021. He previously served as a board member for 3 terms in the same association and as the general secretary of the association for one term. He has contributed to the planning and implementation of hundreds of scientific activities.
Prof. Dr. Süleyman TÜREDİ served as the chief physician of SBÜ Trabzon Kanuni Training and Research Hospital, one of the largest public health institutions in Trabzon, with a capacity of 710 beds, between 2019-2023. This institution has been a reference hospital for Trabzon province, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, and has served as the most effective health institution in the fight against the pandemic both in Trabzon province and in the Eastern Black Sea region.
He is a member of the Trabzonspor congress. His hobbies include all sports, especially football, fishing, hunting, photography and nature trips.
