I was born in Ayvalık in 1969. After completing my primary, secondary and high school education, I studied at Ege University Faculty of Medicine between 1986-92. Between 1992-98, I worked in some institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health and also completed my military service. Between 1998-2002, I received my specialization training at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine. After working as a Specialist Doctor at Denizli State Hospital Emergency Service between 2002-2003, I stepped into academics as an Assistant Professor at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine in 2003. I became an Associate Professor at the same university in 2013 and a Professor in 2019. I am currently working at the same university. I am married with 2 children.
