Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tahir GÖKDEMİR was born in Mardin. He completed his primary and secondary school in Mardin and high school at Ziya Gökalp High School in Diyarbakır. He graduated from Istanbul University's Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1997. He specialized in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Dicle University's Faculty of Medicine (2008). In 2010, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harran University. He became Associate Professor after passing the Associate Professorship exam in 2013. He served as Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Harran University's Faculty of Medicine from 2013 to 2016. He worked as a lecturer at the Emergency Medicine Clinic of Diyarbakır Training and Research Hospital, University of Health Sciences from 2016 to 2020. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tahir GÖKDEMİR currently serves as Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mardin Artuklu University's Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tahir GÖKDEMİR has authored over 60 academic articles listed in international indexes (SCI, SCI Expanded, and International Index), 32 scientific articles scanned in the national database (ULAKBİM), and authored one published book and 10 book chapters. Prof. GÖKDEMİR has given numerous oral presentations and written papers at national and international levels and has participated as an invited speaker at numerous national and international congresses and symposiums. Prof. GÖKDEMİR has eight scientific research projects and one TÜBİTAK research project. Prof. GÖKDEMİR is married with two childrens.
