Hüseyin Gürbüz

Asst. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Gürbüz was born in 1978 in Yavuzeli, Gaziantep, Türkiye. He graduated from Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the same institution in 2016. His specialty thesis was entitled “Evaluation of Blood Transfusions in the Emergency Department and Factors Affecting Complications.”

Between 2000 and 2016, he served as a physician in various primary healthcare centers, emergency medical services, and as a research assistant at Dicle University Department of Emergency Medicine. Since 2016, he has worked at Gaziantep Dr. Ersin Arslan Training and Research Hospital, and between 2019 and 2024, he held key administrative roles as Chief Physician and Health Coordinator in El Bab, Çobanbey, Marea, and Azez regions of northern Syria.

Since September 15, 2024, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Harran University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine. He is a member of the Emergency Medicine Association of Turkey (TATD). His academic interests include trauma management, emergency blood transfusion practices, field analgesia, ketamine use, geriatric and pediatric emergency medicine. He has authored numerous papers and conference presentations in national and international journals.
