Göksu Bozdereli Berikol

Associate Professor Göksu Bozdereli Berikol, is an emergency medicine specialist and works in Department of Emergency Medicine in Ufuk University, as the head of the department. She earned her MSC in Health Informatics from Gazi University and PhD degree in Medical Informatics from Akdeniz University. Her PhD thesis is on natural language processing of emergency department triage notes using machine learning methods to predict diagnosis and triage. She also have research and publications in the domain of diagnostic prediction with machine learning models and effects of large language models on diagnosis and triage. She is also the chair of Health Technologies and Informatics in Emergency Medicine Associations of Turkey; and has roles in EuSEM Digital EM WG and IFEM Informatics SIG as the chair of group. Her special interests on emergency medicine, machine learning, artificial intelligence, telemedicine and hospital information systems.
