Eddy Lang

Eddy Lang is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Cumming School of Medicine- University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services, Calgary Zone. He served as the Scientific Director of the Emergency Strategic Clinical Network (ESCN), Alberta Health Services, until this year. His areas of interest are knowledge translation, evidence-based medicine, and operations research. Dr Lang has served as the chair of the CAEP Leadership Committee from 2017 to 2020 and is currently the chair of the CAEP Academic Section. Dr Lang is also an award-winning educator who has received recognition at the university, national, and international levels. He also serves as Senior Editor for the Canadian Journal of Emergency Medicine and Associate Editor for the ACP Journal Club and the International Journal of Emergency Medicine. In addition, he is a member of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care (CTFPHC). Dr. Lang is co-chairing the International Conference of Emergency Medicine, coming to Montreal in May 2025.
