Christopher Moore
Dr. Moore is an international pioneer in the field of point-of-care ultrasound with a research focus on diagnostic imaging and quality. He has over 90 peer-reviewed publications in high impact journals including NEJM, JAMA, BMJ, Radiology and all emergency medicine journals. He has been continuously funded with R level grants by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality over the last ten years. Dr. Moore is Chief of the Section of Emergency Ultrasound within the Yale Department of Emergency Medicine and directed the Yale Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship for 15 years, mentoring more than 25 fellows. He founded and directs the Yale Point-of-care Ultrasound Course which has trained hundreds of clinicians from around the world over the last 14 years. He has lectured on six continents and received numerous awards for teaching and research. His current work includes funding from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Defense Authority to help develop automated intelligence for ultrasound interpretation, as well as funding from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to develop a national quality measure focused on equity of cancer diagnosis following ED chest CT.
