Afşin Emre Kayıpmaz

Prof. Dr. Afşin Emre Kayıpmaz was born in 1983 in Sivas. He graduated from Isparta Anadolu High School in 2001 and from Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine in 2007. In 2007, he interned at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He was elected as the President of the Student Council at Süleyman Demirel University in 2005 and served in this position from 2005 to 2006. Between 2008 and 2012, he received specialty training in Emergency Medicine at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine. From 2012 to 2014, he worked as a specialist physician at Sivas Numune Hospital. Between 2014 and 2019, he served as a faculty member at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine. From 2016 to 2019, he held the positions of Faculty Council Member, Faculty Administrative Board Member, and Disciplinary Board Member at this faculty. In 2018, he became an Associate Professor in the field of Emergency Medicine. From 2019 to 2022, he worked as an Educator in the Emergency Medicine Clinic at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital. In this institution, he also served as a Member of the Clinical Research Ethics Committee and Deputy Director of the Clinical Research Center. In 2020, he was appointed as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board established by the Ministry of Health to combat the COVID-19 disease. In 2024, he received the title of Professor. Since 2022, he has been working as the founding Coordinator Deputy Chief Physician and Education Responsible of the Emergency Medicine Clinic at Ankara Etlik City Hospital. He is also a faculty member at Health Sciences University.
