Aslıhan Yürüktümen Ünal

She received his MD from the Ankara University. Dr. AY Ünal completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Dokuz Eylül University in 2003. She is currently working as a faculty member at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine. She is a member of EMAT Academy (FEMAT). She served as the secretary general of the EMAT Board of Directors for two periods and took an active role in the Disaster Medicine Working Group and US Working Group and in the establishment of the Emergency Medicine Residency Association. She is the founding chairman of EMAT US Working Group (2008-2011). During her 3 periods as the chairman of the EMATUS board, she ensured that the EMATUS website started its publication life as an FOAMED source. She was the editor of the "Emergency US" textbook and the "Emergency US Guideline; Recommendations for Education and Practice" text written and published by EMATUS instructors. She is active a member of the Turkish Board of Emergency Medicine. She provided on the update of the “Emergency Medicine Training Guideline (Second edition, November 2021, Ankara)” during as the Chairman of the Education Program Development Commission She is a trainer of EMATUS and WINFOCUS (World Interactive Network Focused on Ultrasound on Critical UltraSound) and currently serves as one of the editors of the Akdeniz Tıp Medical Journal.
