Melike Şahin
Born in Istanbul in 1989, she graduated from Istanbul University's Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism, where she also completed her master's degree. She started her career in 2012 as a reporter at NTV, specializing in health journalism. She has produced programs on topics such as Vaccine Hesitancy, Rational Drug Use, Violence Against Healthcare Workers, Organ Donation, the Coronavirus Pandemic, Alternative Medicine, Aging, Climate Change. TV program “Unutmamak İçin” during the pandemic won her the TV News Program award at the 62nd Turkish Journalism Success Awards by the Turkish Journalists' Association (TGC), also TV program "Can Pahasına" which covered violence in healthcare, won the same award at the 64th Turkish Journalism Success Awards. She was also honored with the Istanbul Medical Chamber's Special Jury Award for her program "Üç Çınarın Anısına" and the Television Program Award for "Bebek Beklerken Yaşam Savaşı" She also produces the radio program "Hiç Unutmam" on NTV Radio every week, where she shares unforgettable patient stories as told by doctors.
