Dr Anzal Rehman graduated from Avalon University School of Medicine in the Caribbean, including training in the U.S., Seychelles, and Philippines. He completed his post-graduate internship at the Dubai, Latifa and Rashid Hospitals under the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), following which he completed his Emergency Medicine residency training at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi. During his time in Abu Dhabi, he served as Chief Resident and actively participated in teaching residents, interns, and medical students at the Emergency Department.\nDr Anzal\u2019s academic achievements include several peer-reviewed publications, speaking at various international conferences, and authoring book chapters in the \u2018Textbook of Emergency and Trauma Care, 2nd edition\u2019 as well as the upcoming \u2018International Emergency Medicine Education Project \u2013 Emergency Clerkship Book, 2nd edition\u2019.\nDr Anzal currently works as a Specialist Emergency Physician at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai, where he is also the Geriatric Emergency Department Medical Director. He is also the Founder and President of the Emirates Collaboration of Residents in Emergency Medicine (ECREM), host of the \u2018ECREM|talks\u2019 educational podcast, Editor-in-Chief for the Emirates Society of Emergency Medicine (ESEM) Monthly Newsletter, Guest Editor for the PLOS One Medical Journal, Adjunct Clinical Lecturer at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University Of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), as well as a Member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM).
