I have graduated from the residency in Department of Emergency Medicine, Turkey in 1998. I have attended the \u201cInternational Emergency Medicine\u201d Fellowship in PennState University (2005). Now I am the chair of Dept. of EM, Taksim Education and Research Hospital. I have served as a founder and board member of The Emergency Medical Association of Turkey after 1995. More than 170 articles were published in scientific journals. I serve as a member of the editorial team or a guest editor in the journals \u2018Signa Vitae\u2019, \u201cFrontiers in Pediatrics\u201d \u201cFrontiers in Public Health\u201d and \u2018Diagnostics\u2019 which are included in the SCI-Expanded list. Recently, three book projects entitled \u201cDemystifying COVID-19: Understanding the disease, its diagnosis and treatment\u201d and \u201cCardiac Care and COVID-19: Perspectives in Medical Practice\u201d and \u201cAbdominal Pain: Essential Diagnosis and Management in Acute Medicine\u201d were published by Bentham Science Publishers. I hold a Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS and ACLS) Provider certificate since January 2024.
Since April 2023, I have volunteered with the World Health Organization (WHO) Expert and United Nations (UN) consultant contract within the scope of the Azerbaijan Pandemic Response (APR) Program.
All these publications have been cited for 2570 times so far (ResearchGate, H index = 27).
My research interests are resuscitation, advanced life support, pain management, airway emergencies, geriatric emergency medicine, disaster medicine, trauma and toxicology, and lastly, diagnosis and management of COVID-19.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
